  • Myopia Conference IMC-2010 in Tuebingen, Germany (http://www.imc-2010.org): Close to 250 registered participants from 31 countries met from July 25 to 29, 2010, to present their research on the mechanisms of myopia. Ten oral presentations and eleven poster presentations were given by members of the My Europia consortium. The presented poster giving an overview of the RTN My Europia can be found here (pdf).
  • Attempto Prize 2010 awarded to My Europia Fellow: One of the annual Attempto Prizes 2010 has been awarded to Dr. Regan Ashby for his publication Ashby RS and Schaeffel F (2010): The Effect of Bright Light on Lens-Compensation in Chicks. Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science, accepted for publication in April 2010. The prize is intended to support Regan Ashby’s scientific work (e.g. funds for travel and lab visits) and will be awarded in the course of the ‘Zentrale Promotionsfeier’ of the University of Tuebingen on July 17, 2010.
  • The 4th & final My Europia Annual Meeting will be held on July 27, 2010 in Tuebingen in the framework of the 13th International Myopia Conference.
